Accommodated by the Province de Hainaut, the Centre is developing a series of activities and is offering a number of services in order to fulfil its main objectives: to help authors in the management of their works, including the distribution and promotion of their publications in the theatrical and literary worlds in Belgium and abroad, as well as the aim of promoting the circulation of playwrights in the context of international exchanges.
Amongst its activities, it in particular manages an active Théâtrothèque which groups together more than 900 manuscripts and works edited by authors of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. Since 2009, the Centre has taken care of the management of a writer’s residence situated in the park of Mariemont.

Maedia sprl embodies a pubishing activity dedicated primarily to the different kinds of urban arts. Since 2012, Maedia's goal is to share with the public the approach and motivation of artists from alternative or underground disciplines that are still too often misunderstood, such as graffiti, skateboard, hip-hop and electro. Nocturnal performances, perceptible nuisances, hijacked locations, proximity to drugs and alcohol are all factors that prevent a fair mutual understanding between urban artists and those who live and manage the city. Through a game of interviews, essays and graphic or sound illustrations, Maedia seeks to contribute to the construction of a necessary and urgent citizen dialogue, while giving the opportunity to artists deemed not very prolix to speak. and to share their passions and their emotions.

This project aims to collect oral testimonies and ancient iconographic documents, any remnant left of life as it was in the entire Ourthe watershed. All the evidences collected are used for the drafting of works that allow to recount every mill history, millers and their families’ ways of life and that attach the same amount of importance to people than to their tools. Marginales is a Belgian review founded in 1945 by Albert Ayguesparse, a key figure in Belgian literature. Since its beginnings, Marginales has shown itself to be a voice of Belgian literature in the community, the spokesperson of a collective spirit which is the foundation of all literary reviews and particularly this one, which provoked it to open itself up to hugely diverse movements, and give Belgian authors the recognition they were lacking. Marginales had published 229 editions until its closure in 1991. Following a seven year pause, there was a rebirth in 1998 with issue number 230, published regarding Dutroux, whose marked evasion had shocked Belgium and provided the first theme of the newly returned review. Marginales therefore embarked upon its path of regularly publishing 4 issues per year.
