Publishing is one of the fundamental aims of the Royal Academy of Belgium. It publishes the works of its members, and of the most celebrated researchers.
The principal publications are the Bulletins, Mémoires and various collections, as well as the Annuaire, which contains administrative facts and figures concerning the Institutions and biographical notes on deceased members. These notes have been digitalised and are accessible.
In addition, on the 25th September 2012, the Academy launched a new collection: ‘L’Académie en poche’ (The Academy in Pocket Version). This collection aims to reflect new, interdisciplinary perspectives, with educational points, halfway between synthesis and reflection and the personal reflection of the author. All in all, it aims to share knowledge and tackle subjects which are likely to feed debates in society, in all areas. Two volumes are planned for each month.

It’s especially since the 70s that CIPA’s area of activities has widened and diversified. Look, for example, at the organisation of several tens of intensive internships (one for several weeks), in Mons or abroad. These concern the teaching of languages, linguistic organisation, long-distance training, peace-keeping education, linguistic preparation for the international field, the welcoming and guidance of African and Asian researchers as well as the elaboration of teaching tools.

This support and illustration is open to all types of poetic writing; moreover, the Journal does not limit itself to presenting new poems (in its chronicle ‘Paroles en archipel’, which means "words in archipelago"), but also highlights ‘Voix nouvelles’ ("new voices"), in which you can find young poets who are still not widely known, and ‘Rencontres’ (various interviews). It also dedicates itself to a ‘Chronique des revues’ ("chronicle of journals"), to a panorama of recent poetic publications, to critical readings (section ‘À livre ouvert’), and offers writers a chance to share with us one of their ‘Coups de cœur’ ("favorites").
