Accommodated by the Province de Hainaut, the Centre is developing a series of activities and is offering a number of services in order to fulfil its main objectives: to help authors in the management of their works, including the distribution and promotion of their publications in the theatrical and literary worlds in Belgium and abroad, as well as the aim of promoting the circulation of playwrights in the context of international exchanges.
Amongst its activities, it in particular manages an active Théâtrothèque which groups together more than 900 manuscripts and works edited by authors of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. Since 2009, the Centre has taken care of the management of a writer’s residence situated in the park of Mariemont.

Publishing is one of the fundamental aims of the Royal Academy of Belgium. It publishes the works of its members, and of the most celebrated researchers.
The principal publications are the Bulletins, Mémoires and various collections, as well as the Annuaire, which contains administrative facts and figures concerning the Institutions and biographical notes on deceased members. These notes have been digitalised and are accessible.
In addition, on the 25th September 2012, the Academy launched a new collection: ?L?Académie en poche? (The Academy in Pocket Version). This collection aims to reflect new, interdisciplinary perspectives, with educational points, halfway between synthesis and reflection and the personal reflection of the author. All in all, it aims to share knowledge and tackle subjects which are likely to feed debates in society, in all areas. Two volumes are planned for each month.

The publishing house La Lettre volée (The stolen Letter), based in Brussels, founded in the autumn of 1989 by Daniel Vander Gucht, Pierre-Yves Soucy and Louis Jacob in the background of the non-profit organisation Ante Post, pursues a publishing policy adhering to the following three points :
- The desire to offer, across a range of collections, reflections aimed at the public which look at ethical and aesthetic issues in society, concerning culture and contemporary art.
- The international option which presides over the choice of works of reflection and published creations, and which responds to the process even of thought, a product of the refusal to enclose authors in intellectual or cultural ghettos.
The admiration for the fine book which is such a pleasure to behold in the hand and spirit as well as the eyes, presenting the reader with quality texts, carefully and elegantly presented, giving as much thought to the typograhy as to the choice of paper and graphic design.

Casterman Editions were created in 1780 and specialise in the comic book and youth publishing sector.
In 1999, Casterman became a branch of the Flammarion group. In September 2012, the Flammarion group was taken over by Madrigall, the mother publishing house of Gallimard and the third largest French publishing house. Casterman Editions today are owned completely by Madrigall.

Diagonale is an independent Belgian publishing house. Founded in 2014 by Ann-Gaëlle Dumont and Pascaline David, it launches new authors and specialises in publishing first novels of all genres.
Aware of the difficulties authors face when trying to break into the publishing world, it offers to return rejected manuscripts in the format of synopses, allowing authors to be guided and encouraged in their writing. Subsequently, they form a trusting relationship with the author, useful for developing a literary career in fictional texts.
It benefits links in the book chain by placing its application forms for manuscripts in its books. It therefore encourages the discovery and sale of first novels in book shops.

La Fonderie is a non-profit organization created in 1983 by a group of committed residents and historians. It occupies the site of the former art foundry "La Compagnie des Bronzes". Our objectives are to preserve and make known the industrial memory of Brussels and that, more general, of work in all its forms.
La Fonderie is also a publishing house. We publish heritage, scientific and cultural works.
The original approach of the "Cahiers de La Fonderie" is to highlight the man, his work and his daily life. The articles in this historical review evoke the economic and industrial life of Brussels, the social and industrial heritage but also the history of the inhabitants of Brussels. Tétras Lyre Editions was founded in 1988 by Marc Imberechts. During their twenty years of publishing poetry, the publishing house has developed a catalogue of over one hundred titles, combining the explorations of visual arts with the quality of poetic texts and the demands of artisan publishing. In 2010, Marc Imberechts entrusted the direction to Maxime Coton, and this change led to a transfer of the house’s headquarters to Brussels. Under Maxime Coton, Tétras Lyre underwent a reorientation in their communication and editorial line, achieved their first contract programme with the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, and began a new collection. Today, after four years devoted to the publishing house, and wanting to dedicate herself to a personal poetry project, Maxime Coton transferred the leading of the publishing house to Primaëlle Vertenoeil.
