Soliflor is a publishing house with a family atmosphere where plenty of ideas blossom, collected into little, colourful square books, sweeping across a variety of themes centres around the art of living, kitchen gardens, and passing through all other rooms of the house. Yes, the themes are those of everyday life, that we love to capture in the most natural and respectful means possible. Our books are both fun and serious, as practical as they are theoretical, always illustrated. Whilst not claiming to save the world, our publishing house wants to play its part in bringing good sense, advice and recipes which do good. At Soliflor, everything is managed, from A to Z. Ideas are born when meeting authors. Themes are chosen with care. Consequently, year after year our catalogue grows, with a sustainable appeal. We are present not only in bookshops, but also and especially in organic shops, big and small, in Belgium, France and Switzerland. One last point; since its beginnings, Soliflor has produced its products locally. Its books are printed on FSC paper in Brussels, only a couple of kilometres away from our offices.

Founded in 1985, Editions du Cerisier were born out of the Théâtre des Rues in order to leave a trace: theatrical texts are doomed to be forgotten when their shows have finished, if they are not kept alive in written text. The first two publications of the Editions du Cerisier are therefore devoted to the texts of the shows of the Théâtre des Rues.
Editions du Cerisier were therefore born, and the spirit which haunts it can only draw close to that of theatre-action. The most important desire is to publish proletarian literature. For this term is not in an outdated coma. It is no longer about quarrels on the probable or improbable proletarian purity or impurity of the author.
Editions du Cerisier, therefore, publish, by privilege and preference, novels, short stories, theatre, and essays which, clearly and without embellishment, deal with contemporary society.
