In 2016 was created the Translation and Interpreting Department of the new Faculty of Letters, Translation and Communication (LTC), named Termisti, at the Université libre de Bruxelles (University of Brussels).
As Termisti was not of sufficient size to form a facultative research centre within the folds of this university, it decided, after a period of reflection beginning in 2016, to found a new centre of research, with a wider range of competences. It now welcomes around thirty researching teachers, teachers and doctoral students from all departments of the Faculty LTC, around three main areas of research:
- The science of translation and interpreting;
- The teaching of languages, cultures and literature;
- The workings of languages, and aids to translation.
Termisti will continue along its path as a research group specialised in terminology, likely to bring scientific support to active researchers in the three areas of research at the centre.

Fourre-Tout Editions aim, at their own level, to lead a reflection on books, regarding their conception and distribution.
Each book is proof of the desire to develop a communication tool and a cultural presence, an efficient megaphone intended to bring architecture into the cultural field.
The terminology ‘Fourre-Tout’ ("holdall") is a reference to the principle of assembling documents ‘posés sur la table’ (on the table), which make up a presentation of book-objects around which cluster various contributions. Fourre-Tout involves itself in different paths which all converge towards one evaluation and creative participation in the cultural field of architecture.

- The animation of a network of cultural figures from the North and the South.
- Meetings-debates with authors and cultural figures.
•- Educational exhibitions where artists question our imaginations and our perceptions of the Other.
•- Educational workshops denouncing the impact of prejudices in our relations with the Other.
•- Publications.
