Stemming from Editions Vie, and loyal to the spirit which has guided more than 50 years of rigorous, critical and accessible publications, Couleur Livres sees itself as a publishing house which is engaged, independent and close to the associations and organisations which make up civil society. A publishing house combining impertinence and discovery, but also originality, readability and rigour. Our production is large and varied. Accommodated by the Province de Hainaut, the Centre is developing a series of activities and is offering a number of services in order to fulfil its main objectives: to help authors in the management of their works, including the distribution and promotion of their publications in the theatrical and literary worlds in Belgium and abroad, as well as the aim of promoting the circulation of playwrights in the context of international exchanges.
Amongst its activities, it in particular manages an active Théâtrothèque which groups together more than 900 manuscripts and works edited by authors of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. Since 2009, the Centre has taken care of the management of a writer’s residence situated in the park of Mariemont.

With a rich collection of almost 13,000 works by contemporary artists, the Centre de la Gravure et de l’Image imprimée primarily has the function of a museum, organising many temporary exhibitions, monographic and themed. At the same time, the Centre tries to maintain a publishing policy, and accompanies each exhibition with a published catalogue. In close collaboration with artists, the institution also produces and edits a limited number of prints, printed by the artist themselves or by the care of a print workshop.

Founded in 2008, Nevicata publishes non-fiction literature, travel books, historical documents, biographies, essays, and accounts of adventures and mountains. 'Une nevicata', a ‘shower of snow’ in Italian, evokes these precious moments of calm and serentity when diving into a beautiful book. We are situated in the heart of Brussels, more precisely in the commune of Ixelles. Our books are largely distributed to bookshops in France, Belgium and Switzerland, as well as the whole of the French-speaking world. The large majority of titles in our catalogue are also available in digital versions, and can be downloaded on all available formats. Specialities are : travel literature, history ; biographies, adventure tales, essays and mountain literature.

Founded in 2018 following two years of preparation, Éditions petites singularités grew out of the non-profit organisation petites singularités, which focuses on collective practices and free software.

The publishing house supports and applies ways of doing and thinking that complement one another to nurture social skills and know-how in our technological society, embracing an aesthetic of freedom as a form of resistance embedded within this very megamachine, for theory must inform action and integrate into a synergistic dynamic with it in order to amplify it. All the works we publish are distributed under the Free Art Licence (LAL-1.3), which meets our requirement to contribute to the promotion of shared knowledge.

Generally speaking, our publications are directly linked to our other activities. In both research and publishing, P.S.: favours a trans-individual, participatory approach that recognises and translates into action the interdependence of subjects and the environments that host and nourish them: whilst each individual harbours ideas capable of transforming their environment, these ideas are also shaped by that environment and by the interactions between individuals and between individuals and publishers.
