Zones Sensibles is a Belgian publishing house, based in Brussels and specialised in the sciences of men (and also benefiting from 15 years of experience in the publishing world).
‘Sciences of men’ here refers to a vast field of studies relating to the human in various guises (social, artistic, political, cultural v. natural etc.), a field which touches upon anthropology just as much as graphic novels, cultural studies as well as the history of medicine, the world of sound as well as the geographical world, urban environments as well as uninhabited ones.
With a reasonable rhythm of publications (as growing your readership needs time), and supported by a committee of international scientific sponsorship, Zones sensibles will offer works in a variety of subjects, coming from different voices (renowned university academics as well as young authors), and more often than not translated. The points of view from outside being as important, if not more so, than those coming from within.

We publish books of authors who fulfill their dreams, and want to let the entire world know about what they have gained from it.
Life journeys, which are all unique experiences, but are human enough to render them universal to all.
When we publish a project, we believe in it completely. We put our all into the work, to make the message of our authors shine. We devote competence and warmth, methods and enthusiasm which we first found even in the potential of the project. Sometimes, the manuscript is not ready straight away. Sometimes, it exists but it must be extensively reworked. We have developed an original approach to editing to accompany to author along the road to the unveiling of their work, and their achievement.

The Union Académique Internationale (UAI) is an international organisation of national academies in the fields of human and social sciences. Its objectives are to initiate, recognise, promote and finance long-term international research projects. Founded in 1919 in Paris with a General Secretariat established in Brussels, the UAI consists today of around one hundred Academies, from 63 countries across every continent. Conscious that numerous projects of a wide scope in human and social sciences cannot be undertaken and carried out in a short space of time, UAI has declared itself ready to support important long-term projects. The UAI already sponsors over 3000 works. Many of those are fundamental reference tools, such as dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and text editions, of which certain publications are available on the web. The UAI is constantly launching new international projects, the most recent regarding the transformation of Mediterranean cities throughout history.

Le Taillis Pré Editions, founded in 1984 by the poet Yves Namur, immediately revealed an editorial focus on authors from across the entire world. Due to this focus, you can find poets such as Roberto Juarroz, Antonio Ramos Rosa, Salah Stétié, Israël Eliraz, Nuno Judice and E. E. Cummings, to name but a few. Around a dozen titles appear in this way every year, among which are also some of the best poets of Belgium: Gaspard Hons, Jacques Izoard, Fernand Verhesen, Michel Lambiotte, André Miguel, Eric Brogniet, Liliane Wouters, Philippe Jones, etc. The ‘Ha’ collection presents a panorama of Belgian poetry, whose works are significant but little known or even undiscovered. In this collection, you will find the names of Françoise Delcarte, Ernest Delève, Frans Moreau, Pierre Della Faille, Jean Dypréau and Robert Guiette. This collection generally publishes the complete works of the poet in question. Le Taillis Pré aims to give voice to the words of the poet Yves Bonnefoy: ‘La poésie moderne est loin de ses demeures possibles.’ That is our reason of being.

A publishing house founded in 1996, the Editions Amyris are well-known and respected for the contents of their work, and holding the copyrights of all of its titles which are original works.
As the founders of Editions Amyris like to highlight, the heart of the matter is the collection. Rather than aiming to simply publish new work after new work, Amyris takes the opposite stance to this publishing method.
Integrated in different collections, works such as Douce Alternative, Primum Non Nocere, Les Singuliers essentially deal with health, in prevention and alternative medicine.

Le Cormier Editions was founded in Brussels in 1949 by Fernand Verhesen (1913-2009). Poet, essayist and translator, Verhesen was also a great discoverer who significantly contributed to making the French-speaking public aware of Spanish and Latin-American poetry.
Also strongly interested in typography, he created and printed it himself on a little printing press – the first Cormier books – and showed, during his life, an equal interest in both the choice of texts, and their physical presentation.
This is a philosophy Le Cormier continues to follow today by only publishing four titles per year, edited and published by devoting the greatest care to the production of the actual book. The catalogue of the house distinguishes itself by a large variety of voices and the refusal of orthodoxy ; loyalty to poets of long-standing next to the spirit of discovery. The reader will find numerous Belgian and French authors, as well as important collections of Latin-American poetry.

Founded in 1971, the ISELP– an institution for the study of visual arts – is a place where contemporary art is approached from different angles which are mutually enriching. This plurality makes a singularity: our activities of demonstration, reflection, research, mediation and publishing all make up the richness of art today.
The ISELP benefits critical discourse concerning contemporary art by offering conferences, projections, discussions, meetings, readings, guided visits, cultural voyages and educational activities. Particular attention is given to the question of art in the public space, by the development of a think tank which leads reflection on the subject, encouraging meetings and offering the public a centre of reference.
Finally, the institute welcomes the main public documentation center of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles for visual arts in the 20th and 21st centuries.
