We believe that a book made of paper is a cutting-edge technology which has possibilities still to be explored; and Vies parallèles will take special care with the book-as-object, so as to give the words within it their maximum differentiation. We want to make difficult texts available to the widest possible readership, and the fact is that first impressions are decisive. Open and exacting, we will operate without prejudice, yokes or shackles, and will not let ourselves be confined to the narrow straits of straight (if parallel) lines. Vies parallèles will not conform.

Founded in 1971, the ISELP– an institution for the study of visual arts – is a place where contemporary art is approached from different angles which are mutually enriching. This plurality makes a singularity: our activities of demonstration, reflection, research, mediation and publishing all make up the richness of art today.
The ISELP benefits critical discourse concerning contemporary art by offering conferences, projections, discussions, meetings, readings, guided visits, cultural voyages and educational activities. Particular attention is given to the question of art in the public space, by the development of a think tank which leads reflection on the subject, encouraging meetings and offering the public a centre of reference.
Finally, the institute welcomes the main public documentation center of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles for visual arts in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Bleu d'encre was, at first, a magazine created by Claude Donnay that focused on poetry and short stories. Its first number was issued on the 1999 summer solstice. Ever since, a new number is issued on every solstice. Between 2010 and 2015, a dozen staple-bound brochures were published and initiated a shift towards poetry collections publishing. Since 2015, Bleu d'encre publishes some three or four printed collections every year at the printing presses of the Amay's Maison de la poésie (house of poetry). The only editorial line that Bleu d'encre respects is the blue line of the horizon.

And their name, tell me about that?
It came to them from a sumptuous poem, entitled ?Escorial II?, in which Pedro Salinas decided to ?compter au lieu de rêver? (count instead of dreaming) (en vez de soñar, contar?). And to add up, six hundred and twelve windows in the western face of the Escurial, five white clouds, three beloved people and twelve strokes of noon. ?¡ Qué felicidad igual / a seiscientos treinta y dos !? (What equal happiness in those six hundred and thirty two!) cries the poet, thus answering your question.

Le Frémok is an association founded in June 2002 by fusion of two publishing houses of alternative comics, Fréon (Belgique) and Amok (France). Their founders, all comic book authors themselves, share the same passion which drives them to confront the reconstruction of the ninth art.
Le Frémok has become, therefore, a platform which allows authors and volunteers to carry out the most extreme experiments in the field of graphic literature, breaking down the barriers between genres, mixing poetry and politics, world outlooks and visual art narratives, art outsider and philosophical mass, young people’s literature and comic books, contemporary art and demonic series.
Le Frémok still believes in the book, and explores and rejects the specifics of the methods of printing, to make books which blow apart the preconceived norms of production in the genre.
