Founded in 1971, the ISELP– an institution for the study of visual arts – is a place where contemporary art is approached from different angles which are mutually enriching. This plurality makes a singularity: our activities of demonstration, reflection, research, mediation and publishing all make up the richness of art today.
The ISELP benefits critical discourse concerning contemporary art by offering conferences, projections, discussions, meetings, readings, guided visits, cultural voyages and educational activities. Particular attention is given to the question of art in the public space, by the development of a think tank which leads reflection on the subject, encouraging meetings and offering the public a centre of reference.
Finally, the institute welcomes the main public documentation center of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles for visual arts in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Le Frémok is an association founded in June 2002 by fusion of two publishing houses of alternative comics, Fréon (Belgique) and Amok (France). Their founders, all comic book authors themselves, share the same passion which drives them to confront the reconstruction of the ninth art.
Le Frémok has become, therefore, a platform which allows authors and volunteers to carry out the most extreme experiments in the field of graphic literature, breaking down the barriers between genres, mixing poetry and politics, world outlooks and visual art narratives, art outsider and philosophical mass, young people’s literature and comic books, contemporary art and demonic series.
Le Frémok still believes in the book, and explores and rejects the specifics of the methods of printing, to make books which blow apart the preconceived norms of production in the genre.

The Union Académique Internationale (UAI) is an international organisation of national academies in the fields of human and social sciences. Its objectives are to initiate, recognise, promote and finance long-term international research projects. Founded in 1919 in Paris with a General Secretariat established in Brussels, the UAI consists today of around one hundred Academies, from 63 countries across every continent. Conscious that numerous projects of a wide scope in human and social sciences cannot be undertaken and carried out in a short space of time, UAI has declared itself ready to support important long-term projects. The UAI already sponsors over 3000 works. Many of those are fundamental reference tools, such as dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and text editions, of which certain publications are available on the web. The UAI is constantly launching new international projects, the most recent regarding the transformation of Mediterranean cities throughout history.
