Description :
Leonie loves the stars. Every night, she observes the sky with her telescope. But tonight, a shooting star brighter than the others seems to be coming towards her. Leonie can't believe her eyes: it's a star panther! Falling from the sky, it has landed on a tree branch in front of Leonie's window. The celestial animal is lost and needs to find its way home. And Leonie is going to help it! She will help it find the reflection of the stars in the water. Off to the forest they go! Leonie rides Panther, who clears the way between the trees. They talk, flee from wolves, get lost in a cave... before finding the lake.
Sara Gréselle uses coloured pencils to create a wonderfully delicate nocturnal atmosphere. In her depiction of night and darkness, we are struck by the light that lends softness to the illustrations, but also by the shades of blue, enhanced by a beautiful ochre that warms the pages. A story of friendship and a true tale of an initiatory quest, treated with finesse and sensitivity.
