Description :
Delve into the heart of Paul Delvaux's La Ville lunaire II through a study that reveals the creation of a major work. By comparing the preparatory drawing and the painting housed at the Musée L, the book unveils the artist?s choices, revisions, and transformations. Scientific analyses shed light on the pictorial construction and Delvaux's precise, gradual, and poetic method. An accessible, richly illustrated book that offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the creative process.
