Description :
A global event, the Covid-19 epidemic can be considered a 'total social fact': a phenomenon that affects all aspects of social and individual life. At a time when it is urgent to think about the 'post-Covid' society, all the disciplines of human knowledge should be mobilised to shed light on its various facets - as the inflation of publications now devoted to it attests. Each of the selected entries, from 'future' to 'zoonosis', via 'democracy', 'mask' and 'fear', will be less the object of a classical lexical definition than the occasion for a critical discussion of the issues involved. Although modest, the exercise of the primer could nevertheless prove to be a necessary and preliminary undertaking to the exercise of critical thinking. The aim would be achieved if the book were to serve as a starting point for the discussions and debates that are multiplying everywhere on the pandemic and the "world after".
