Poetry, the path to peace
The Belgian francophone edition at the Festival de poésie Voix vives (Sète)
The Belgian French-language edition will be in Sète for the fourth year running at the Voix vives de Méditerranée en Méditerranée festival, from 18 to 26 July.
Voix vives is the largest regional poetry festival in France. The well-attended event features a publishers’ market and a major festival bringing together a host of poets, actors and storytellers for a rich programme of readings on stage and in various venues around the city.
Three Belgian publishing houses will be present at the market: Abrapalabra, Le Chat polaire and maelstrÖm reEvolution, while the small-press network Les éditeurs singuliers will be representing around twenty others: les éditions de l’Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique, L’Arbre de Diane, Bleu d’encre, Bozon2X, Cactus inébranlable, Le Cormier, CotCotCot, Le Coudrier, Courgette, Éléments de langage, Espace Nord, La Lettre volée, Lustre, M.E.O., Les Midis de la poésie, Les Oiseaux de nuit, Partis pour, La Pierre d’alun, Les éditions 632, Le Taillis Pré, Les Territoires de la mémoire, Tétras Lyre, Traverse et les éditions du Vide.
Three Belgian poets feature in the festival’s official programme: Arnaud Delcorte, Timotéo Sergoï and Laurence Vielle. Many other authors will also attend the event.
