"L'autre livre" celebrates its 20th anniversary!
The salon de l’Autre Livre will take place in Paris from April 21 to 23. These dates coincide with those of the Paris Book Festival (ex-Livres Paris), whose new format launched in 2022 makes access impossible for small publishing houses from France and elsewhere. L’Autre Livre thus confirms its position as an off book publishing fair.
The French-speaking Belgian edition will be present, with Le Chat polaire (poetry) and the small-press network Les éditeurs singuliers, which represents around fifty publishing houses. Several authors will be present for signing sessions, among which Anne Bouxin, Christian Crahay, Olivier Henskens, Paul Lambda, Pietro Pizzuti and Aurélie Vauthrin-Ledent.
The L’Autre Livre association, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, brings together nearly two hundred French publishing houses. Its aim is to defend and promote independent publishing. It provides its members with a space for selling books which is also a place for meetings, readings, exhibitions and events. It organizes two fairs a year, in the spring (at the Palais de la Femme) and in the fall (at the Espace des Blancs-Manteaux).
