Is being a reader just about reading?
Fewer readers or less time spent reading? Faced with new forms of literary prescriptions and the rise of digital communities, what does it mean to be a reader today? What challenges do these changes pose for literary creation?
Following on from the symposium organised by PILEn (Interprofessional Platform for Publishing and Digital Technology - Belgium) in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) on ‘reading and accessibility issues’, the Hauts-de-France Regional Agency for Books and Reading, in partnership with the association La Ville aux Livres, is organising a new interprofessional day. This day, which will take place on 13 November 2025 as part of the Creil Book and Comic Book Fair, will question the place of the reader as a player in the book ecosystem.
