Festival de la bande dessinée d’Angoulême

The 49th edition of "Festival international de la bande dessinée d’Angoulême" will take place from 17 to 20 March. What about Belgian comics ? "Wallonie-Bruxelles International" and "Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles" in Paris organize a stand to present them in this unmissable place.

You will find: CFC éditions, La 5ème Couche, L’Employé du moi, le Fremok, les Impressions Nouvelles, les éditions du Tiroir. Will also be present the collectives of micropublishing & fanzines: : la revue 64_pages, l’Appât The Bait, Blow Book, Brumeville, Du Noir Sous les Ongles, l’Espace des Littératures Illustrées, la revue Forgeries, les éditions IMAGEs, la Maison Autrique / Kronikas, Le poil dans la main and éditions Vite.

The festival celebrates comics in all its colours and genres, and from all over the world. Several exhibitions will animate the show, as well as a concert that will mix music and illustration. A live performance will bring together Thomas de Pourquery, a great saxophonist, accompanied by cartoonist Fanny Michaëlis.

Prizes in several categories are awarded during the festival. The official selection includes: Casterman for Alert 5 and Cheese; Dargaud for Blacksad, volume 6, Couacs au Mont-Vérité, Yojimbot as well as Pucelle, volume 2; Dupuis for Spirou - L'espoir malgré tout, part three and Le Lombard with Le tambour de la Moskova.
