Belgian publishers present at L'Autre Salon
L’Autre Salon will take place in Paris from April 22 to 24. These dates were not chosen at random. The fair, which usually takes place in March, has moved so that its holding coincides with that of the Paris Book Fair, whose new formula makes access impossible for small publishing houses.
The French-speaking Belgian edition will be present, with Quadrature (short stories), Le Chat polaire (poetry) and the association Les éditeurs singuliers, which represents around fifty publishing houses.
The association L’Autre Livre brings together nearly two hundred French publishing houses. Its purpose is to defend and promote independent publishing. It provides its members with a space for selling books which is also a place for meetings, readings, exhibitions and events. It organizes two fairs a year: L’Autre Salon in the spring at the Palais de la Femme and L’Autre Livre in the fall at the Espace des Blancs-Manteaux.
