"Prix Pépites 2020" : a Versant Sud Jeunesse’s book nominated

The nominees for the 2020 edition of the "Pépites du Salon du livre et de la presse Jeunesse de Montreuil" have been revealed. Tu t’appelleras Lapin, a Belgian children’s comic book, written and illustrated by the talented Marine Schneider, has been nominated among the competing works in the illustrated books category.

The comic book, published by Versant Sud Jeunesse, tells the story of the unlikely friendship between Belette, a 7-year-old little girl, and a huge rabbit. This isn’t the first collaboration between Marine Schneider and the publishing house, under the leadership of two passionate editors, Elisabeth Jongen and Fanny Deschamps. Marine Schneider is an illustrator from Brussels and, in 2018, Versant Sud Jeunesse had published another of her works, Hiro, hiver et marshmallows.

The award winners will be announced on 2nd December at the opening of the book fair.
