Belgian authors and editors in the spotlight of Rossel prizes
The Rossel prize for literature was awarded to Catherine Barreau for her novel La Confiture de morts, published by Weyrich editions. This novel is also among the nominees of the Grand Prix du roman of the Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique (Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium – ARLLFB).
La Confiture de morts is a magnificent and subtle novel. Published just prior to March’s lockdown, the work hadn’t received, until now, the public recognition it deserves. The incredible cleverness of the story has yet to seduce countless readers.

For the comic book category, several prizes have been granted.
The Rossel prize for best comic album went to Dargaud publishing house for Incroyable, storyline by Vincent Zabus and drawings by Hyppolyte.
The Rossel prize for best comic series went to Dupuis editions for Le Royaume de Blanche-Fleur, a series of comic books by Benoit Feroumont.
A special mention to innovation was given, in partnership with the Scam, to Eléonore Scardoni and Romane Armand for the creation of their collective "Forgeries".
