2020 Trophées de l'édition : Le Lombard wins the Communication Trophy
From 24th November to 7th December, the 2020 Trophées de l’édition will be awarded online by Livres Hebdo, the reference media on the French-speaking book industry which holds the event.
Le Lombard, a Belgian publishing house that specialises in children’s comic books, won on 28th November the trophy for best communication throughout its promotional campaign for the comic series Les enfants de la résistance.
Les enfants de la résistance (literally: the children of resistance) is an historical series written by Dugomier and illustrated by Ers. The action takes place during the Second World War. The reader will embark on the adventures of three children, François, Lisa and Eusèbe, that decide to face the German soldiers who invaded their small French village.
Le Lombard editions were rewarded for their original and 360-degree marketing strategy: advertising in specialised press, posters displayed in public spaces, organisation of an itinerant exhibition in schools, libraries and museums, as well as putting up a pedagogic catalogue along with trunks filled with several copies of volumes 1 and 2 of the series. These trunks were lent to the teachers.
