The 2020 Prix Rossel finalists announced
The names of the five 2020 Prix Rossel finalists are finally known. The Prix Rossel is considered the most prestigious award in French-speaking Belgium and is organised by the newspaper Le Soir.
Among the novels and short stories collections that have been chosen, three works were edited by Belgian publishing houses. One of them is the novel La confiture des morts, by Catherine Barreau, published by Weyrich editions. This publishing house, based in the heart of Belgian Ardennes, is specialised in literature and illustrated books and counts 300 works in its catalogue.
Both the other competing novels were published by Onlit. One is called Cent jours sans Lily and was written by Aliénor Debrocq and the other, Judas côté jardin by Jean d’Oultremont, has already won the Prix Marcel Thiry. Onlit editions, ran by Pierre de Mûelenaere, is entirely dedicated to the publication of contemporary literature and novels.
This year, the award ceremony will be held online on 10th December 2020.
